Writer
My goal as a writer this semester is to become more organized in my writing. I have lists, thoughts, ideas, appointments, etc. written down all over the place. I want to learn how to combine all of those things into one place. I want to be able to use writing to expand on my thoughts and ideas. I want to use my writing to reflect on my day and how I can use what I learn as a teacher. I want to find time to write.
Reader
My goals as a reader this semester are to find time to read for pleasure and to read more children's books. It's important to me to have an outlet where I don't have to think about school and the next assignment that's due. I want to find time to read for me. I own a lot of unread books and I want to set aside time to read them. I also want to continue to build my classroom library. I want to be able to tell my students that I have read all of the books in my library. I want to be a resource for my students when they are looking for books to read. I want to be able to direct them to the one book that will get them hooked into reading.
Future Teacher
My goal this semester for becoming a future teacher is to take everything that is taught to me and use it. I want to experience everything I possibly can in order to be a great teacher. I want to learn how to write engaging lesson plans that my students will love. I want to learn strategies on how to make difficult concepts effortless and learn ways that I can take straightforward concepts and make them challenging. I want to learn everything I can about the subjects that I will be teaching so I will be able to pass that knowledge on to my students. I want to find creative ways for my students to write and learn how to create an atmosphere that promotes it. I want to be able to take what I learn and use it to be the best teacher I can be.
