List Queen
I chose one of my many to-do lists to reflect on. I chose to highlight this week’s list because it is still readable. I write out what I need to do and write “done” over the top of the entry when it is complete. This method works well for me. I love to write lists. They help me stay focused and organized. Lists help me remember everything I need to accomplish within a given time period. Also to keep track of what I need from the grocery store, what I need to pack for trips, days my son needs to go to after-school care as well as many other things. As a learner, lists help me clarify what school work needs to be done so I don’t forget an assignment or a deadline. I have used lists throughout my life and I would truly be lost without them.
The ability to write a list is easy but knowing how to utilize it to your advantage takes some practice. As a teacher, lists will help me in several different ways. I will be able to help my students use lists to organize their school work-what’s due and when-and ideas they have for writing. Also, lists will help me stay on top of lesson planning, conferences, grading assignments, important dates, etc. I have a feeling that I will be writing lists for the rest of my life.
