My Math Lesson
The students were just beginning a unit on equivalent expressions. I taught the first day of the lesson and focused on finding a relationship between two equal expressions and creating a story problem and visual representations about the expressions. One of the goals of the lesson was to have students understand if you double (or triple) one factor then you need to half (or third) the other factor in order for the expressions to remain equal. The lesson was taught using the Investigations book.
